Mumbai: India's pharma headquarters capital
Mumbai is the headquarters capital of Indian pharma. Sun Pharma, Cipla, Lupin, Glenmark, Wockhardt, Piramal and the India offices of Pfizer and GSK are all based across the MMR, from Worli and BKC to the manufacturing and R&D belts of Thane and Navi Mumbai. It is also the country's financial capital, where most listed pharma companies report.
Why it matters: More large-cap pharmaceutical companies are headquartered in Mumbai than in any other Indian city.
